No longer necessary to pay for handset

Marin Lewis informs that after 2 years we no longer are obliged to pay for our handsets. We just pay for the usage on our phones. Advice please.

@speranza That would be correct if the credit agreement is only for 24 months, if it is for longer then you are legally obliged to continue paying for the handset until the full balance is cleared.

Just to be clear with Sky mobile there are 2 options for handsets, swap 12 which is a 24 months agreement and swap 24 which is a 36 month agreement.

Hi @speranza  yes that's correct if you signed up for a 24 month contract, if you signed up for a 36 month contract you have to pay for 36 months.
