Ok and just to 1000% sure, do you VoLTE toggled on in your settings?
If it is, this sounds like your issue is when you are being passed from one cell tower to another. Sky uses Vodafone's celltowers so an example of this should be front and centre for them to fix. Normally for this type of stuff it should be picked up by a back office team who would be able to work with the network on resolving - would you have any idea if this has happened yet?

No idea but my VoLTE is on now and I'm pretty sure It was before but I can't say for a 100% but I'll give it a while and see how it works when I'm on the road again

Worth a try for sure, I really don't think resetting or wiping your device helps in this case so would avoid doing. Creates hassle and don't think it would have any impact

Yep same problem since the start, nothing helps. No problems with previous providers.

I got the issue sorted today as I went in to a Skymobile shop. It is a settings issue. On an iPhone 11 or an iPhone SE you need to go in to mobile settings, select Mobile Service, select Mobile Data options, select Voice & Data option and then switch the VoLTE to 'on'. Now I can use mobile data while making a call and if I make a call I don't have to reboot phone/switch to airplane mode after.

Same issue has started happening me. Restarting the phone normally resolves it but doesn't when out of Ireland.
I think it is time for me to leave sky mobile. Too much hassle for the small savings.

I have the same issue (no data connection after a phone call)since I signed up to Sky Mobile in September 2024. I had to keep rebooting my phone to fix this data connection issue. The phone that I am using is a Nothing 2a.
I connected Sky Mobile Tech support yesterday the 15th of September 2025 about this issue.
They couldn't fix it, and asked me to monitor how many times I lose data connection after a phone call and they will contact me again on Saturday 20th of September.
I think I might have another fix for this issue.
I made a phone call this morning 16th of September 2025 and lost data connection after the call ended. Instead of rebooting my phone I made another phone call and when the call ended my data connection was back.
Instead of rebooting the phone, make another phone call and see will this fix the data connection issue

Making a second call to fix data connection error seems to work only intermittently

I spent time with support trying to resolve this issue but they kept saying to enable VoLTE. This option isn't appearing for me when I use my Sky Sim but is supported by my phone.
I have read online that the provider (SKY) can have this setting disabled on accounts.
From Google: "If your mobile provider has disabled VoLTE, you can't enable it yourself. You must contact your provider to request they provision your account or device to support it."
I might follow up with them to try but they seemed to be following a script when I was talking to them rather than listening to what I was saying.

VOLTE setting has also now disappeared from my iPhone 16. My contract is up next month, will 100% be moving to a different provider and getting a physical SIM on top of that. Way too much hassle with sky mobile
