Find out moreHi @4dgordy sky do give you a 31 day cooling off period to try out their sims so if you are still within that period you can cancel without paying the full contract. Other than that if you have the correct APN in your phone settings there is nothing you can do to improve the signal.

Thanks for that 63johnw unfortunately we are long past the 31 days. We had been putting it down to the horrendous weather but now it has improved we have seen no difference.

Sky uses the O2 network and their coverage can be very different to EE (O2 is also usually slower).
If you're willing to give your approximate location I can check where nearby masts are for both networks and what technology they offer (3G, 4G etc).

We are also on the island and having the same problem especially in Newport. Yet sky keep telling us there is no issues but the local paper has even reported that Vodafone are aware of the mast problem, the same mast 02/sky/giff gaff use

Hi @4dgordy,
If you are still having issues with the signal there is a cooling-off period which starts 31 days from the date your order is delivered. If you bought your devices or accessories as part of a bundle offer, your cooling-off period starts when the last of your items are delivered. You can find more information regarding this here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancelling-sky-mobile .
Also worth noting, for locations where WiFi is available, make sure to enable Wi-Fi calling on your device, this will allow for the call to be placed over the internet rather than relying on a signal. You can find help with activating WiFi Calling and more information here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/wi-fi-calling .
Regards,
Daniel.
