New mobile and keep old number

I just activated my new sim this morning and added my pac number to the details to keep old number. However have received a text from sky saying my new number is up and ready to use and whenever I call anyone it's showing my new number? I want to keep my old number.

Which network did you get the PAC code from?

I left Vodafone and they gave me the pac code

Have you applied the PAC code to your Sky SIM?

Is your phone showing the correct number in the settings and if it isn't have you tried changing it ?

It shows the old number and won't let me save the new one

I did apply it upon activation and response was it could take minutes or hours for this transfer and I'll receive a text but the text gave this new number

Comes back as error occurred so doesn't transfer

So if you have already given Sky the pac code then you now have to wait for the number to transfer, as you appear to be trying to give them the pac code again which you do not need to do.
