I have just received my new Google Pixel 8 Pro today and excitedly tried to activate the eSIM. I was delighted with how easy Sky Mobile's website was for converting to an eSIM only to find out that it's not compatible with the Google Pixel?!
Seriously?! How can an eSIM not be compatible with all phones that support them? Customer Support tell me that it might come later, but surely it's something that needs to be addressed immediately...
I realise I can use a physical SIM, but I need that for my work phone.
WARNING: if you convert to an eSIM and try to install it on a non-compatible phone, your physical SIM will already have been deactivated and Sky will try and send you a new one. In my case, I just want the PAC code to get the hell out...but you still need to wait for a replacement physical SIM to get the PAC code.
Anyone have any insight?
Cheers!
