New data plan unused data not being saved in my piggybank

I recently purchased a new Sim card with the telephone number by mistake when I was trying to make the most of the triple data plan offer that was sent to me. I spoke to Sky on the telephone and they quickly and helpfully resolved my problem. The lady I spoke to said not to activate the Sim card when it comes and she was able to find a Sim deal for me on my existing Sim and telephone number However as the data has refreshed not only have I not got the data that was promised the unused dated that I did not use has not been saved in my piggybank so I'm now paying £10 more a month for a promised 50 GB at £18 because it was a double data 12 months contract deal.  The whole point of me changing my data plan was so that I could get more data and save data for my two other Sim card users ( daughters)

i'm on holiday at the moment and I'm frustrated, My piggy bank is dwindling away and I'm paying for more data that can't be saved.

The best offers are for additional SIMs (with new phone numbers).  Generally, Sky will not apply those offers to existing SIMs.

It sounds like they've switched you to a plan that was available on your existing SIM (which wouldn't be a 'triple data' plan).

Unused monthly data can take a few days to roll into your piggybank.

You'll need to call Sky to discuss/challenge what deal you currently have.

Not sure what you mean by this but all monthly unused data will (eventually) go into your piggybank.

Re: New data plan unused data not being saved in my piggybank

@PandJ2020  Thank you for your response, You were right, so unused data has now gone into my piggy bank, didn't know there was a delay once data has refreshed.

However the 50GB  for price of 25GB promised on the telephone by sky never materialised. You were right about that too.

Just got the  25GB a month, thought it sounded too good to be true 🤣

Thanks again

Call them on 150 to chase it up.  (But I suspect they've just moved you to an available plan)
