Hi. I want to order a SIM to start a new contract with Sky from the second of February and transfer my number. It appears that when I order the SIM I start getting charged rather than on activation of the SIM. Is that right?

Buy the sim.
Activate it when you have it.
Get the Pac code from your previous network and give it to Sky.
Start using the Sky sim after you other sim on your previous network stops working as that is when the number should transfer.

One thing that isn't clear from your post is are you a current sim only customer or do you want to transfer your number from a different network to this new sim ?
