Since last week, requesting a new eSim via app or phone results in a verification text being sent out to any phone on the account only this is never received and the app says sending failed. Sky say not their fault, but then other operators say it is not sending. Great when the carrier can't send a text.

Same issue here for me.
I can not set up my new phone I got last week becasue I can not get a new esim because it keeps coming up with 'sending failed'

I am also having the exact same problem. Speak to sky adviced it's not sending and I also get the error message when trying to send a verification text to activate an eSIM. I've just spent the last 4 1/2 days without service because of this mess. Still can create an eSIM

Same problem as well - no luck with 150 being able to progress the problem
