My sim only monthly mobile bill is going up ?

Happened to look at my monthly billing and noticed that my basic monthly charge is increasing in Feb 23. Don't know why.

You should be sent a letter or email regarding the sim price increase as this will explain this. If you are yet to recieve this then have a read of this:

I've just received my mail.

no price increases for 5 years so I guess it was inevitable...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

I upgraded my sim forca lower price, checked future bills and the price got put up after 30 days , even advertised

"

No price rises mid-contract

We won’t raise your data plan prices mid-contract. That’s a promise"

Hi @Ian.Mitch  that price promise only applies if you are in the initial 12 month minimum term. If you are past that then they can increase the cost. If you are still in your minimum term call sky on 150 for help.

I upgraded to a new contract, so it should bee the same!! Not go up within 30 days, maybe cancel within cooling off period and ask for a better deal

Worth a try @Ian.Mitch  but I think once you out of the initial 12 months then even if you re contract then they can increase the price, I may be wrong but that's how I read it.

I haven't been notified is the part I take issue with, they've just upped the price without informing me, no email, no letter, nothing. I'm not a lawyer so don't want to sound too Karen but surely that's not legal

Re: My sim only monthly mobile bill is going up ?

Anyone who is not in initial 12 months contract or recontracted (basically any type of contract) will receive a £1 or £2 increase depending on your data plan.

Emails are the usual means of contact so I would check you have supplied the right email address in your contact details in 'MySky'. If no email address or for some reason it does not send, only then is a letter issued.
For those saying they took out a new contract but received an increase, I would suggest checking that you actually recontracted and didnt just receive an offer.

I changed my plan and got more data for the same money on some of my plans but on one im actually paying less.

Re: My sim only monthly mobile bill is going up ?

My contact information works fine, in fact they emailed me in December to tell me my SIM plan was out of contract and that I could either continue to pay what I used to be paying or change my plan. Naturally I was fine with the current rate so didn't change anything. They have not emailed me since then and certainly not about changing the price of my plan
