Discussion topic: My number has been subject to a spoofing scam. I’ve got people calling me back saying I called them.

My number has been subject to a spoofing scam. I’ve got people calling me back saying I called them.

My mobile number has been spoofed. I activated sky shield but is that just for my land line?

That is correct as that is for landline only.

 

As for the spoofing it might well stop after a while but if it doesn't and you are getting random calls you have a few options. If your phone is an iphone there is a setting to block unknown numbers but turning this on can mean calls from Doctors, Hospitals and that will not get through.

 

The second option is to call Sky and ask them to cancel the sim (which you can do anyway once you have had it for 12 months or more) and then ask them to issue you another sim that will come with a different number.
