Mr

For example? Let's assume i currently have a Samsung Tab S10 Ultra on a 24-month contract, and I’ve completed about 12 months so far. Now, I’m interested in upgrading to the newer model, the Samsung Tab S11 Ultra, and I’d like to understand how this process works in detail. My main question is: Would it be possible for me to return my current device (Tab S10 Ultra) and receive the new device (Tab S11 Ultra) while continuing under the same existing contract, without paying off the remaining balance of the old one? In other words — can this be treated as an early upgrade, where I simply exchange the device, keep the same contract, and perhaps add a small amount to my remaining monthly payments for the second year? Or does your policy require that I pay off the full remaining balance of my current contract first before I can get the new device?

The latter - a swap requires you to return the device to pay off the residual credit and then take out a new contract.  (If you swap 'early' then there may be a shortfall between the value and balance which needs paying in full)

btw if you have a swap24 contract then it's 36 months long.  (I suspect this is what you have as I don't think they offer swap12, i.e. 2 year, for tablets)

If you want to keep the device then simply buy a new contract (but you have to pay for both obviously).  If swap24 then you own the item in full after paying for 36 months.

'upgrades' aren't 'free' - the swap scheme is a form of HP with the option to return the device and start afresh.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
