Moving to sky mobile

Hi

I've been with sky for nearly ten years and with three mobile for the same.

My phone was stolen in February and since then I've been having my number used to charge fraudulent google pay transactions. I dont seem to be able to stop it as three won't stop it as they say it's third party. There only solution is to change my number. However this has all my work, life etc connected with it and will be costly to change everything and start again. So my question is if I close my contract with three and pay to get out of it, port my number to a sky contract can I stop this fraud or is linked entirely to the phone number?

@Markfoxcroft14 You may be able to do this as I know Sky don't allow such charges through your google account to take place.

Have you raised this with Google themselves?

Are thay taking payment through your google wallet?   Can you not change the card details or block them in your wallet?

Re: Moving to sky mobile

No when my phone was stolen they have taken my SIM card and put in another phone and linked my phone number to a google p account, they are then buying tick-tock coins etc and it's being charged straight onto my phone bill. Three just allow this! I can't see the email receipts as they've linked the number to their own account.
Spoken to google three times who refuse to help me unless I get a correlation ID for the transaction. Said I have to get this from Three. Three say they don't have it as it's a third party and google have it! I've gone around and around in circles and each side is just saying it's the other all the while they are still racking up costs!

I'm now  in the middle while neither  will take responsibility and stop it. Three have allowed my phonebill to  be used like a debit or credit card but have no checks in place for this.

I don't know what else to do other than try a provider where I can stop this and keep my number.

Re: Moving to sky mobile

Yup formal complaint just told me we don't have correlation ID go to google there is nothing further we can do. It's a third party and you need to deal with them. They won't budge. Say they've offered a solution. I've got nowhere else to go for help

If that was me I would be cancelling that number immediately.

Re: Moving to sky mobile

Maybe I should just get a new number then, but still don't like the idea of staying with three if they can't stop or allow someone to use my phone bill like a credit card. If sky don't allow this I might move.
