Months of terrible phone service in PE16 (Chatteris, Cambridgeshire).

The phone signal in and out of my home has been non-existent for my area for several months now (I have been a sky mobile user for 4 years at this address with no problems before hand). All 4 of my family have sky contracts (4 sim and 2 phone) and are also having issues. Upgrading our phones has not fixed the problem.

 

With having no landline we are reliant on the mobile network for emergency sercice calls if the power is out, let alone communicating with anyone at all, but at the moment I'm often getting 0 bars anywhere in my house, garden, driveway, or in most places within half mile of my house; this has been causing us issues at parcel drop of and collection sites and other areas where I need to show information on my mobile. This also challenges the ability for my children to get in touch easily if there is a problem on their way too or from school and undermines our confidence in the network. 

 

Whilst there is a notification saying you are working on services in my area PE16 until 4th December, it would be good to know what you are doing and whether this is going to help, as this lack of signal has been going on for months now and each time I or my family have flagged the poor service in the app or online, it comes back saying it's fine when clearly it is not.

You are not addressing Sky here, just other customers.

 

Sounds like there's a mast issue in your area under repair.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Another thing to be aware of is Sky themselves do not own or maintain any mobile phone masts so you and others in your area are waiting for a third party repair.

Sky uses O2's network and trying a random postcode for that area on https://status.o2.co.uk/ shows the same message about network upgrades until 4th December. Neither network are likely to provide any further details, unfortunately.
