My daughters phone says it has a mobile data error and requires an update. Her phone also won't allow wifi to switch on either (the toggle button is stuck on grey) so she can't get any update. We have tried turning the phone off and on again, turning airplane mode on and off again and we've done a full network reset but still not working. I have also reset our router but no joy. The rest of the mobiles in our household are working perfectly so we are at a loss as to why this has happened to her phone?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf the phone is an iphone then you will need to get it connected to the Wifi network so you can get the update installed so is the battery at a decent level, if not give it a charge.

Yes the phone is charged fully but no option to turn on wifi using the toggle button.

If you're using iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Yes I've already done that but still not working. I've been on the phone to Apple support and tried everything but to no avail. They said I need to bring the phone into a store so I think it is a hardware problem. Fingers crossed they can help!
