Mexico roaming not working - unable to update apn. One plus 12.

Hello, I have used all the online help and been unable to resolve my One Plus 12 phone, Sky Mobile SIM being unable to connect to any network in Mexico. I haven't received my welcome text. I have no call or data signal. I didn't receive my network settings when I requested them and I have tried to update the APN but it won't enable/save. My settings appear to be MCC 240, MNC 07 - I can't edit, these are greyed out and when I tried to add a new APN it didn't save. I have rest network settings and rest all my phone settings. Hoping some can help so I can feel safer on my travels. Thanks, Samantha

Not sure if this helps, but MCC 240 is Sweden!

Google suggests this:

1. Open Settings: Navigate to the Settings application on your device.
2. Go to Network & Internet: Tap on "Network & Internet".
3. Select Mobile Network: Choose "Mobile network" or "Cellular" depending on your phone's interface.
4. Access APN Settings: Scroll down and tap on "Access Point Names" or a similar option to access the APN settings menu.
5. Add a New APN: Tap the "+" icon to create a new APN or select an existing one to modify.
6. Enter APN Details: Input the APN details provided by your carrier. This will typically include APN name, proxy, port, username, password, server, etc. You'll also need to specify the MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code).
7. Save and Activate: Save the new APN settings and then select it to activate it as the default APN.
8. Restart: Restart your phone to apply the new settings.

Correct APN is:

Name: Sky Mobile Internet
APN: mobile.sky
Username: None
Password: None
MCC: 234
MNC: 57
APN Type: Default

As an aside, you are aware of the costs of roaming in Mexico?  It's a 'rest of world' location so very expensive.  (Data is just over £2,000 per GB)

Thank you for your help. I've done those things but I hasn't worked, the APN couldn't be enabled/didn't stick.

Thanks re data charge. I just want to know I can contact someone if I needed to. Any other solutions?

Afraid not - you need to find a forum or help from OnePlus.  It does seem like a device/software issue.

One last thing to check:

1. From the home screen, access apps.
2. Tap Sky Menu
3. Tap Roaming.
4. Tap Automatic or Roaming.
