Hi
i have purchased a new iphone 14promax from sky and ported my lyca number to sky. Porting was done number changed. But i am not able to receive or send text messages. Tried resetting the network. Popped my sim out and put it back. Still can't receive or send text messages. Please help me with a solution.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreTry goingto Settings - Phone - My Number and change it if it is wrong, then reboot the phone. If it is a different phone then have a look in the settings to see if it is showing the correct one and do the same and change it if it is wrong then reboot your phone.

Go to Settings and click on you Name (Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases), then click on Name, Phone Number, Email. Once through to there, if your phone number is displayed delete it, restart your phone, go back to the same place and then re add your number.

Tried deleting and adding my number. I am aple to receive the message from apple the one time password. Still i cant get the normal text messages @caesarome

Find out moreTo get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to 24 hours to be contacted via this.

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Hmmm I'm having similar issues I ported my number to sky from utility warehouse and now text messages don't work sending or receiving , after going through trouble shooting steps with sky on my iPhone 15 pro max,still no joy and local phone shop in bexhill couldn't do anything and the Apple Store in Brighton ran diagnostics on the phone and detected a hardware fault apparently, I phone sky mobile and the lady said I could swap for a completely different handset but at a cost of £650 or have it repaired but it would take 14 days , meaning I would have no phone for 2 weeks, so I got annoyed with the lady and said I would just get apple to repair it, so apple said we can repair today and it would be done by 6pm so after returning to the store they eventually come down from upstairs with the device and put the sim in and to my horror discover they have wiped everything and to get back into my account apple need to text a code , of course after repairing my iPhone text messages were still not working so wasn't going to get any verification code from apple was I , so then the apple assistant said it is a fault with the SIM card or network provider, but their diagnostic tool detected a hardware fault, something with the cellular line input or something, but then they say it's a SIM card or network provider issue, so which is it ? I'm now left unable to use my iPhone other than calls and internet, all my apps are wiped until I can get my number working properly and text messages don't work, I'm awaiting a new sim from sky , this is all a joke
