Making sure next bill is paid using credit.

Hi,

 

I have recently had to upgrade my phone through Sky due to a fault and as it was earlier than the end date on my agreement there was a outstanding balance to pay to balance off the credit agreement on my old phone.

 

I have made a manual payment equal to this outstanding balance and that is showing on my previous bill (paid on 1st November) that my account is now in credit.

 

However my next predicted bill is still showing the outstanding balance for the credit agreement and I want to make sure that the credit is matched against this upcoming bill, so I do not get hit twice for the same amount putting my account into further credit right before Christmas.

Hi @Anthony160  did you use the full payment option via your account or did you call sky and specifically say this was to pay your balance ? If you didn't then it will be a credit and be used to pay future bills. I would call sky on 150 to make sure they use the money to pay the balance.

Hi 63johnw,

 

I used the 'make a payment' option through the Sky app.

 

I think a phonecall is maybe best but just wanted to check first.

There are 2 make a payment options @Anthony160  was it the one associated with the device and did it give the balance remaining or did you make a payment against your account ? For your peace of mind I think a phone call is the best option.

Did you make this manual payment today and what date is your next bill due to be paid on ?
