Looking to upgrade to new device but is it possible to keep the current sim contract I have?

I currently have a mobile phone on monthly contract along with a Sky Sim.

I have a good deal that suits me at the minute (70gb, calls, texts etc).

When I go to look at upgrade options it no longer offers the 70gb option.

Is it possible to keep the same data plan on the sim but just upgrade the device itself?

Thanks

Yes, and you want to as any new dataplan will have a different phone number.

If you can't checkout without adding a plan then simply don't activate it.  (You won't be charged and it expires in a month)

Thank you for the fast response, so I assume I can just upgrade the phone only and stick the current SIM I have in the old phone to the new?

Yes - that's exactly what you need to do to keep your phone number...

Thanks. Do you have much knowledge on piggybank data? I currently have 2.5tb in the bank but its is only letting me select 50gb per phone. Is this usual? Is there a way to use more or is this just the offer and thats it?

You can only roll 5GB per time, but you should be able to do this as many times as needed.

Thank you! We didnt realise how much we have built up! would have been nice to use it towards a new device a little more than the current offer as it only comes out as 48p a month saving! Thanks for your help!!

Yeah, the amount off a new device is tiny.

The only thing you can do is reduce all the plans to as small as possible and live off the piggybank.

Hi @ctomki  you can only trade in one lot of data to reduce the monthly payments, sky limit the amount you can trade in.
