Keeping the phone after contract is done

If i wanted to purchase a phone from sky for 24 months, after the 24 months is the phone mine to keep if i dont want to upgrade?

A 24 month contract is 'swap12'.  If you make all 24 payments then the phone is yours to keep.

...just in case you're looking at 'swap24' which is a 3 year contract, not 2.  (The 24 is the usual point of swapping)

The last 12 payments are usually slightly lower.

Yes if you take a swap12.  You don't have to advise them, your option to swap just disappears and you own the phone outright.

So I choose swap 12 which is 24 months and after 24 months the payment will stop and I have nothing to worry about returning and not upgrading just keeping the phone?

That is correct. When you have paid the phone off in full at 24 months you will no longer be billed for it.

Yup, for the device.

If you take a dataplan then that continues until you cancel it (subject to a minimum 12 month term).
