Just arrived from UK in Dublin only to find that my iPhone is showing no service

I just cannot understand why I am unable to get service on my iPhone. It has never happened before.

As Dublin is part of ROI, you may need to set up roaming.

Hi Lisa I already have roaming on, but still no service is showing at the top of the screen. Any other suggestions?

After turning roaming on have you rebooted your device ?

Right, I have found the solution, but no thanks to everyone who has contributed. In the past, when I have come here, I was automatically. Transferred to A network selection, and although it showed that I was on automatic, this did not happen. However, when I cancelled automatic and then by process of elimination, I found that 3 Ireland was the one and I am now with service
