Is the £1.50 increase only supposed to be for the phones/sims that are out of contract?

I had an email stating that a £1.50 increase from February was for those out of contract. I am in contract and still charged, is anyone else in the same situation? Have you managed to speak to Sky to get the £1.50 removed?

sim contracts are 12 months - if you have a longer contract then that's for the device only (where the price doesn't increase)

Best to call Sky on 150 to query it

When you say you renewed your contract for this sim what did you actually do, did Sky give you a discount if you agreed to a new 12 month contract ?

Do you have just the one sim ?

Just checked my offer, it was with a discount yes, what difference does a discount make? I only have one contract and that is 1 sim. I cannot see anywhere either on my account, email confirmation of the contract or my bill how long the contract is for.

Usually sim offers are for 12 months so it could well be this so add a year on the date the discount was added.

So it appears that if as I did you downgrade your contract online and not through a phone call it goes into a rolling contract. The only way to renew the sim only contract (that's all I have) is to call Sky. I have spoken to Sky today and are back on a 12 month Sim only contract. Least I know  now for next year to call. Thank you to all whom responded.

Yes, one of the terms of the 12 month contract is that changes will remove that offer...
