I've had the same problem - not being able to make or recieve calls twice in the last 2 months.
Read solution on forum - restart phone - worked ok. The other solution was to turn on/off Airplane Mode - what good is that if you don't know yor phone is not recieving calls.
Not the ideal solution as this week missed an important call - if it happens again I will definitely be looking to change provider.
Reading comments on forum this problem has been ongoing for a long time.

Hi. I'm in North London and when I try to make a call I get a message saying not registered to a network?????

I'm in Durham - when I try to call - phone doesn't dial just hangs up. Restarted phone - seems OK for now

I've reset my phone twice then did airport mode and that seemed to fix it although I went online onto sky website and there was a mast down in my area but I think users should be told when there are issues and give us credit when it's down a lot lol
