Iphone xr to iphone 15

Hi

My son already has an iphone xr and is getting iphone 15 for christmas, his sim is already with sky, is it a case of just swapping sim into new phone?

That is correct.

 

He might be sent a sim by default with his new phone so don't activate it as you can use the one he already has.
