No service in Toronto Canada
Arrived in Toronto 16th May. Sky connected to Freedom but absolutely no data service or Internet has kicked in with my roaming passport. If I try to find a provider manually then on Telus for example it is says error try again later.
Is there no operable Sky services in Canada?

Re: In Canada but after 4 days data stopped working
I've posted a separate discussion but arrived in Canada 16th May and have failed to get any data service so far. I'm hearing that Sky have basically ditched the Roaming Passport service abroad and you now have to buy specific add ons??? Is this true?

Re: No service in Toronto Canada
Hi @APandMMMill Sky mobile runs on the O2 Network and Canada is supported.
I've sent you a private message so we can go through some troubleshooting which you can see in your private notes page in sky community, let me know if you need help finding it

No. Roaming passport is still operational.

Re: In Canada but after 4 days data stopped working
Hi. An update. Spoke to someone from Sky and I'm up and running. It seems that my automatic connection to Freedom may have been the problem, my son in law says that is not a good Network over here. So went through all phone settings with the Sky rep, and went through reseting my mobile network settings, and then went to Sky Menu app and clicked on Sky Settings which reset my Sim Data. Then manually connected to the Bell Network and all seems to be working now.

In Canada.. Can't get roaming data
I've been in the US and Canada for the past few days. I had data in Canada yesterday when I arrived. Not today. I have enough data and I've been through all the suggestions offered on Sky Support online. Any ideas?
Currently using hotel Wi-Fi

Unfortunately a number of customers in Canada have suffered similar problems over the last few days.,

Re: In Canada.. Can't get roaming data
I had trouble when I arrived yesterday but am sorted now. It appears the issue was down to automatic co section to a poor provider called Freedom. I'm now on Bell network and my problems of no data service seem to be resolved

Mobile not working in Canada
Hi I have just returned from a road trip to USA and Canada 🇨🇦 our mobiles worked perfectly in USA and happy to pay roaming charges of £2 a day, but as soon as we entered Canada only SOS showing, tried everything, restarted, checked roaming was on. I have an IPhone 16 so was reliably advised by Sky that my mobile would work there, we were using the maps on the mobile to navigate so imagine rush hour in a Country an no mobile maps, had to revert to backup old fashioned maps!
so after finally arriving in Quebec, using Hotel WI-FI, I managed to do a quick course on eSims, managed to buy one, but had difficulty as when I tried to pay my bank could not contact me for me to get the code from then to prove it was a genuine purchase. So managed to buy through PayPal. It worked perfectly, £14 for 5g was worth it, we were only in Canada 5 days, I am so annoyed at Sky for claiming that Roaming would work in Canada, had I been prepared and they had advised it may not work there, then I would have purchased an eSim well before, and there would have been no problem. I have now read forums where some are saying it was a glitch and all sorted now. Well it was not sorted for me and my Husband. I say I sn annoyed is sn understatement! I have put an Official Complaint in with Sky Mobile.
So just be aware, if travelling, check forums first and be prepared to purchase an eSim if you rely on your mobile as we do. Do not believe Sky claims when they say it will work in certain countries, USA 🇺🇸 was fine, we had no problem there. Luckily I learn quickly as I had never had the need to know about esims and luckily o had just bought a new Iphone16 a few months ago for this adventure.
Thanks for reading my gripe, Judy to warm any future adventurers out there, so they don't end up lost in Canada as we were.

Re: In Canada but after 4 days data stopped working
Hi
I had the same problem, everything worked fine in the US, then SOS in Canada. I tried all of the suggested fixes, but none worked Especially Sky sending the APN reset, since mobile data needs to be working for it to be sent to your phone number!!
This Fix worked for me on an iPhone15
Settings, Mobile Services, Sim Applications,
Roaming, and select 'Sky Settings'
Unfortunately I can't remember what the original setting was but this made all the difference. Please note Network Selection was also set to Automatic which is the default.
Happy Days 🙂

Re: In Canada but after 4 days data stopped working
Hello.
I am in Canada and my iPhone just says SOS. It sometimes connects to a network depending on what town I'm in.
I guess Sky still has an issue?
