Imessage not working

Hi, imessage not working in over a week i have tried all the tips but not working any ideas please

@Kat501  What's happening when you try sending a message is it going as a text?

on your device go to settings>messages, is the iMessage toggle showing green

Yes sending as texts and the toggle is green, ive tried turning it off switching phone off then back on tried signing in and out of apple id, time zone is correct

@Kat501  It will only send as iMessage if the recipient is also using an apple device and has iMessage enabled otherwise it will send as text , so check this is the case

  • Yes most of my contacts do, I've mostly always had an iPhone and this has never happened before

@Kat501  Is it affecting a particular contact or all contacts that use apple

@Kat501  In the same setting as posted above is the send as sms toggle off (not showing green )

@Kat501 turned the sms toggle off so the green isn't showing and then try and send a message
