I would like to buy an iphone sim free and use my own sim

Hi there, 

I have an old phone and using a sim only rolling data and usage from VOXI and now wanting a new device. 
Can I buy the device from sky without a data plan. I go to check out and it asks me to select a sim. 
Do I need to pay for this and activate it, or cabn I simply pay the price advertised for the phone only and not activate or pay for the sim?

Hope this makes sense. 

Any help would be much appreciated.

@Paulchat007  If you can't order without one, order one with a sim and just don't activate the sim and it'll drop off your account after 31 days

Yes all sky mobiles are unlocked so you can use any network on them
