Do I have to pay extra costs on top of my £2 per day whilst in Turkey or can I use my free calls texts and data plan

If you want to call and text a UK mobile or UK lanline then you can use your usual allowance as it comes under the £2 daily charge. If you want to call a local number in Turkey then you will be billed at international rates.

Perhaps be aware that some locations in eastern Turkey would be in range of cell signal based in countries where £2 roaming wouldn't apply, so it's worth keeping an eye on the network name.
