The offer is for a new sim so all you can do is to call Sky on 150 to see if they will apply it to the sim you already have but don't be surprised if they say they can not.

Those offers are usually for new customers or existing customers taking out a new sim.

Why should existing customers miss out on the cheaper deals it should be offered to all

Most, if not all providers do similar to entice new customers. If you chose to change you'd find better deals for new customers elsewhere and that goes for broadband and TV deals too.
