I think my phone has been used before

Since having my phone I have been having numerous phone calls for a third party. Also when I've logged into various things my phone is showing somebody else's name. I think this phone is either a used phone or one that has been reconditioned,either of which is totally unacceptable.

Hi @Cerberus1  its more likely the number on your sim has been recycled, there isn't an unlimited number of mobile numbers available so they do get re used. You could try calling sky and asking for a new number but even that can't be guaranteed to be new.

If someone has helped give them a thumbs up.

If their answer solved your issue mark it as the correct answer.

@Cerberus1

I agree with @63johnw This is almost certainly a recycled number and not the actual device. When I joined Sky mobile in 2018 and had a new number I passed it to friends and family etc. My brother-in-law queried it as the number was already in his list of contacts as a person working for the local council. Small world I know. It has never caused me a problem.

The phone and SIM are quite separate items.

The number existing elsewhere has no bearing on the physical device itself.
