I went to vacation on August 2024 and I had my AirPods with me and when I came back from vacation only the case was with me and turned out I forgot them and I cannot get them anymore

If acquired on a credit arrangement, that still stands and you are obliged to make the payments or clear the outstanding balance (which would be the point of insurance)
