That would be the US federal 'Affordable Connectivity Program' (or possibly the 'Lifeline Assistance Program' on qualified tribal lands) and nothing to do with Sky UK or Sky Group (a division of Comcast) whose forum this is.
If you have received a 'Sky M1' device then that's also nothing to do with Sky UK or Sky Group: it's a product from Cloud Mobile in the USA and the name is a coincidence. Activation would be using the SIM provided by the ACP/LAP partner.

I'm having the same Issues, crazy it's crazy how they're saying this is not connected to the government free phone but this is the only site that pops up when you type it in and literally says sky devices.

It's pointless complaining about this on a forum that has no link to any US based schemes.

That would be because we've posted about the 'Sky M1' in this forum several times in this context: it's how internet search engines work.
The 'Sky M1' is not a 'Sky device' (as in anything to do with Sky Mobile, part of Sky Group in the UK) : it's the rather unfortunate model name chosen by Cloud Mobile in the USA for their 4G LTE hotspot which also has very basic 'phone' functionality.
Cloud Mobile also have a 'Stratus', a 'Sunshine' and a 'Mist' so 'Sky' would be on-theme: as a word it's not trademarkable and so cannot be copywrited by Sky Mobile.
Sky Mobile does not operate in the USA, and the 'government free phone' is a US federal scheme. It's entirely possible that the 'Cloud Mobile Sky M1' is being issued under that scheme, but Sky Mobile is not involved with this in any way.
