How do I change my sky number to a new number

Hi I have been with sky for nearly 2 years, I need to change my sky mobile number to a new sky mobile number

It's not clear what you're asking?

But you can't transfer mobile numbers between Sky SIMs.

My current mobile number I have now I need to change it to a new number for personal reasons

Hi @ginger69  order a new sim/plan from sky.com when logged into your account. When it arrives activate it then call sky on 150 to cancel the old one.

Ok, as your current SIM is 'out of contract' then simply order and activate new SIM and then give notification to cancel the old one.

Well Sky left me with no option but to cancel a new Sim only deal that was £20pm that I had only just started, within an hour of activating the new sim the spam started rolling in, by the end of the first week I'd blocked over a dozen number I didnt know and blocked many text message numbers too, then they started on Whatsapp and by this time I knew it was time to see where I stood legally, the next day I had a threatening whatsapp message which was the last straw.

Since that happened in Feb 2025 I not only cancelled the sim but went PAYG with another company and can you 'adam and eve' it not had one single spam call or message? What is Sky doing what this new compay isnt, I have several other contracts with Sky and once they are up thats it i'm done with Sky...

If you have had your current number for more than 12 months just order a new sim when logged into your account (don't accidentally order a replacement). It will come with a new (but almost certainly recycled) number. When its activated call Sky on 150 to cancel the old number.

Otherwise Sky won't change it unless you're receiving threats etc which have been reported to the police and you have a police reference number.
