How can I request a new mobile number for my sky contract?

Hi,

Some time ago, i took out a new mobile contract with SKY, however the number allocated has constantly received calls and texts which are clearly intended for an old user.  Calls such as requesting me to report to a police station, or request for 'gear' and similar messages.

How can I get a new number to stop this!

thanks

If you've had the contract for 12 months then simply order a new one and cancel the existing one when active.

Otherwise, it's likely to be difficult to change numbers earlier without a court/Police involvement.  (Or incurring early termination charges)

All providers reuse numbers so a 'new' one may not fully solve the issue.

@ChrisMcC1979

There are very few, if any, new numbers so any replacement number will have been recycled.
