Having problems using phone abroad. I advised Sky and am paying £2 a day for both

I advised Sky that I was in Menorca on holiday and they put me on a charge of £2 a day for my phone and £2 for my husband's. We are having so much trouble doing the usual texting, emailing etc. I sent various photos to my husband's phone which didn't go through. It really is a poor service. Maybe I'm doing something wrong- any advice?

Is the spend cap set too low? You can change your spend cap yourself via the MySky app or online here

Perhaps worth noting the £2 payment just permits access to a UK billing bundle: it can't possibly rule out local cellular issues because those will be the remit of Spanish providers, not Sky Mobile (which doesn't actually operate its own physical network even in the UK)
