Going to Cyprus, what do I need to be able to use my mobile there?

Going on holiday to Cyprus next week for 11 nights  and need to be able to keep in contact with a family member back in UK 24/7.  What do I need to do to be able to use my mobile whilst away, and it not cost the earth?

Hi @jonnyenglish with sky it will cost you £2 for each 24 hour use of your home allowance. To get it to work simply turn roaming and mobile data on in your phone settings and make sure your monthly spend cap is set at at least £22 to cover the 11 days. If you are connected to hotel WiFi you can turn the roaming off and that may save you a day or two of charges.

@jonnyenglish

And be aware that the unusual political history of the island means there's both Greek and Turkish cellular coverage in some areas: each of these is covered by a £2 roaming fee but it may be duplicated if the phone signal switches to one from across the border.
