Going round in circles with the virtual assistant

My phone lost it's network connection therefore I can't phone sky to get it fixed. I tried to fix the problem in manage your SIM, but I can't receive the text that is sent to reconfigure my network settings. I've now started the cancellation process in hope someone will contact me and get it fixed that way.

Re: Going round in circles with the virtual assistant

I've formed the opinion that the virtual assistant is quite deranged and pefectly useless.

You will most likely go round in circles with it until it infects you with its own dysfunctional modus operandi after which you'll both gyrate round each other to no useful purpose or resolution. In the meantime Sky will continue to extract payments from you. From a profit point of view Sky would seem to see no incentive (except perhaps a moral and ethical one) to replace this frustrating and lacking intelligence creation with real people who might actually be able to assist you. If you find a number to call Sky on you'll find a similar creature lurking at the end of the phone . The one on the chat appears unable to read or react appropriately to what you type and the one on the phone appears unable to hear or react in a useful way to what you say. A remarkable partnership to deploy for the assistance of customers - virtually useless.

I've been able to form my opinion by having been there myself and had to, eventually, give up the encounter to protect what remained of my mental health so my thoughts are with you.

I've recently received a message from Sky (possible some other automation) asking me to call them. I'm resisting this approach for fear of again ending up in the grip of another one of their maniacal machinations.
