Given a phone number that is already in use

I got a new iPad today and I have an eSIM so sky have given me a new phone number but turns out the phone number is already in use by someone else. What shall I do?

@Laurag31  If you mean you're getting calls or text for another person you need to realise there are virtually no new numbers in circulation so you're will almost likely be a recycled number.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

We texted the number to see if it would show on my ipad to test it but someone else replied

It might be worth calling Sky about this so at the very least they can get a different sim which will have a different number assigned to it. 150 is the number to call them on.
