I was offered a free sim as part of my contract (tv). I put it in to activate but nothing happened . It said to turn phone off /on which I did . I put the activation code in. But I'm already with sky anyway so is this the problem ? Can't seem to get anywhere . I also cleared all my data history . I'd like to start using the free one but keep my number

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAny 'free' SIM will be a 100MB (virtually nothing) and if you activate it then it will have a new number. (And you cannot transfer an existing Sky number easily to it)
The primary purpose of these SIM's is to utilise your piggybank in another device with no additional monthly cost.

I'm having the same problem with mine. Sky say a mast is having problems in my area but I've been else and it still has no signal.
