Fraud but no way to send the devices back

Hi All,

 

I have had a fraud done on my account for 4 mobile devices. I have rung sky to notify them of this and have the pre-paid packaging sent to my house to send the devices back. However I have not been contacted by the risk and investigations team. I have raised this with action fraud and called sky multiple times to no avail. It has now been 2 months and it is hitting my credit score and I have CRS contacting me for payment. I have tried to resolve this multiple times but just get the same response "I have raise an escalation to the risk and investigations team and  they will be in contact in 72hrs" but never do. 

 

This needs to get sorted now, I have already raised with the FCA and the ombudsman. My next port of call is the news outlets.

@Ryan-8100  By posting here you're not contacting Sky, threats to go to News Outlets is wasted on us.

 

If Sky have sent you the packaging to return the phone why do you still have them?  It seems Sky did give you a way to return them but you haven't yet?

 

It takes time for the fraud to be investigated but it usually starts with the customer getting a call offering them a very cheap Sky package where the fraudsters get your details, did you receive such a call?

If you're happy the pre-paid packaging and label were really sent by Sky and NOT the scammers is there a reason you haven't returned them?

Keep the proof of posting provided by the post office.

I have not received any pre-paid packaging today to send these back. 

 

I have also been contacting sky every 72hrs for the past 2 months. 

 

They got me details from a recent data breach by another company and I have learnt my lesson by not using the same username and password for different sites etc.

 

It was not a threat to go to news outlets it was more of a question.

I'm having same problem with sky as someone taken contract out on my husbands name and is not paying for the contract anymore getting letters from credit solutions now

I have managed to get sorted, took a while and alot of phone calls to the custmer help center for risk and investigation. But finally they sent the packaging. Still waiting for this to be removed from my account but at least not affecting credit score anymore.
