Extremely poor mobile phone signal at home

I have extremely poor signal at home on sky mobile. Is there anything I can do?

I get cut off frequently.  Calls don't come through and go straight to voicemail continuously and I'm always being told people can't hear me and line is dreadful.

Re: Extremely poor mobile phone signal at home

I have exactly the same problem, I regularly get cut on calls and friends leaving me voicemails saying that they can't connect to me. I was with EE for 15 years prior to moving to Sky and now in regretting it as service does not compare. I was tempted by price ans package but if you can't make or accept calls then there is no point

Re: Extremely poor mobile phone signal at home

We've constantly had extremely poor signal coverage at home here in SE20 and hanging out the window to try and get/keep connected is not a solution nor does it work anymore!

I don't know if anyone from Sky Mobile read these posts, but as we all know as Sky customers (suffers), contacting them is nigh impossible. Well Sky??

If no response then I'll be moving out connections to a carrier that actually works, even though it's a little more expensive.

Perhaps worth noting that Sky Mobile is an MVNO (as are the vast majority of UK 'networks') and is routed over O2 infrastructure.  EE, Three, Vodaphone and O2 are the only 'real' carriers.

Re: Extremely poor mobile phone signal at home

I've been having the same problem, and I followed your link. Thank you @Daniel0210.

After numerous phoncalls to sky without any success, this seams to have worked!!!

Yay! 🤩🤩

Re: Extremely poor mobile phone signal at home

Totally agree with this.... been with sky for 10 months now and forever being cut off on phone calls or people can't hear me , this is becuase sky doesn't cover 4g or 3G hardly anywhere. Places where I used to get 4g I get 3G now. If sky dont improve sadly I will have to leave. I have my broadband with them and it's relatively good but the mobile signal I am disappointed with. Any suggestions apart from the link already sent above ?

Oh my word! Can't believe there's so many other people with this issue!! It's an absolute joke!! I've tried to contact sky my period times with no avail! A lot of important phone calls I've missed in the past! I'm also contemplating whether to leave them.

I also have the same issue.

I can only make emergency calls most of the time and can't send or receive texts. I've been with Sky years, prior to that I was with Tesco who also use O2's network. I've never had a problem until about 9 months ago. I'm supposed to have good coverage but I've only one bar on my signal. I can't continue like this, if it doesnt improve I'll have to go to a different network, it's like being back on 3. My daughters are with EE and don't have any problems.

Re: Extremely poor mobile phone signal at home

Yes, I'd already read the info. Wasn't much help to be honest. I'm not the only one on my estate who are having problems with Sky mobile signal. As I said, I've been using O2 network via Sky and previously Tesco. I've never had an issue until relatively recently.

About the same time I lost the signal at my home.  I wonder what Sky / O2 are doing to their network that is making it worse, yet they denied to me they had made any changes.

I solved my issues by switching to 1PMobile who use the EE network, and also provide wifi calling and VOLTE, another think Sky could never get working on my phone, but it worked as soon as I put the 1PMoblie SIM into it.

Re: Extremely poor mobile phone signal at home

Thanks for your reply.

I have read that although the signal allegedly it's over subscribed and congested.
