Existing mobile number didn’t transfer to new sim

Hi, I'm so confused here. I upgraded my mobile phone recently and the new phone came with an e-sim which I activated (I think) but my old number did not get carried across which I asked for. I was going round in circles trying to see how I transfer it so I put the old sim in the new phone so I could get calls etc. I've just noticed I am being charged for both sims so does anyone know how I can transfer the old number so I am not being charged twice?

Thanks in advance.

You have gone about this the wrong way by activating the esim which is why you are now being charged for two as what you needed to have done is just move the sim from your old phone to your new one. So you are no longer charged for two you will need to call Sky on 150 and either ask them to cancel the esim or your old physical sim. It also isn't possible to transfer a number between two Sky sims.

Not directly.  There is a protracted workaround that requires transferring your old number out of the network and then back to the new SIM.  (You cannot use a PAC within a network)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
