Existing customer, new phone with new SIM on new plan

I have recently upgraded my phone, and it came with the option switch to a different plan for a deal price. Phone has arrived with new SIM but cannot activate new SIM on the new plan (only giving me options to migrate from another mobile provider).  How do I switch to the new SIM / plan?

Are you trying to use a pac code?

 

(you cannot use a pac code within a network)

 

The sim deal you purchased is for an additional sim.

 

Unless Sky are prepared to apply that deal then your only other option is to pac code out of the network and back again if you want to keep your number.

Thanks for replying. Im afraid that I specifically don't want to use a PAC code. During the upgrade process of my phone I was essentially offered to change to a 5GB data package, which I did.  My phone goes back to Sky as per usual but this time a new SIM came with it. From what you are saying I specifically cannot use my current number (which I must say wasn't made clear if that's the case).
