Existing customer SIM order cancelled, max credit rating

Hi, I am an existing sky customer with a iPad and data package. I have also just purchased a sim for one of my phones.

Only a few days later, I then decided to buy another sim as it was a very good Black Friday deal. This would be for another phone.

However, the order was cancelled very shortly after stating it was based upon credit checks.

This is IMPOSSIBLE.  I have maximum credit rating on Experian 1250 out of 1250. Plus I have already two contracts with sky so clearly hasn't been an issue previously.  I actually work as a credit analyst so know this to be rubbish.

what on earth is goiing?

if I order again, I have now missed the Black Friday deal, through no fault of my own

Clearly it is possible for an order to be rejected: the given reason may not be entirely accurate though.  Unfortunately no-one reading this forum would know why that's happened: the usual data mismatch would seem unlikely.
