Error trying to transfer number to Sky

I have set up my new phone and have a PAC number.  I get so far and then it says we

are unable to transfer your number at the moment.  Please try again.   I have tried lot's of time but can't get past this message.

 

Can anyone help as I need my old number.

Which network are you transferring from?

Moving from EE and was part of a business account with multiple numbers assigned. PAC has been issued but currently getting an error message on the EE website when trying to unlock the device using the IMEI number and getting an error message on the SKY website when trying to assign the old number.

I suspect you'll have to call Sky as it may require manual intervention.

Yes, had to call Sky in the end and the operator also had the same problem switching the number. Its now into the third day and still awaiting a resolution.

Yes we did get sorted in the end. It was a combination of EE releasing the number and issuing a valid PAC that Sky could then use to transfer the number, which did work in the end. But, that wasn't the end of it: I used Sky for a few weeks, but found the network coverage unreliable and to the point I had to complain and cancel the contract. Sky use O2 and it just wasn't good enough for me in Worcestershire, to the point that I had no data coverage when indoors at most places. I've since reverted back to EE and happy with it once more.
