Error message when trying to link mobile account to Sky ID

I recently signed up to Sky Mobile via the Sky VIP app offer. 

My sim has arrive but when i try to follow the activation instructions i get stuck when trying to link my mobile account to my sky id.  It asks for either some of the digits from the billing details or my date of birth and some numbers from a credit card used to make the monthly payments.  When i signed up, i don't remember inputting any bank or credit card details and just assumed it would be added to my monthly Sky bill.  I've tried various conbinations but it comes up with an error message saying 'The details entered do not match those we have on record. Please provide us with the details used at the time of purchase'.

Any ideas as to how to solve it?  I tried the online bot but it just took me round in circles and pointed me in the direction of the Sky community.

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.


This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears by typing it it to start the chat:

When the chat bubble does appear you will need to respond to it as soon as you can or it will be closed if there is no response within 48 hours. To start the conversation just type in it.
