Do I need a new plan with a new phone?

Hi all

I currently only pay for a data plan as I long paid off my phone (iPhone XS) but I'm looking to get a new phone, probably an iPhone 15, and am not sure if I need to take out a new plan with the new phone or not. I don't want to change my phone number, just get a new phone as the one I have is not as reliable as it used to be.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Any recommendations for a portable charger/power bank that's compatible with an iPhone 15 would also be great.

You do not need a new data plan as you can continue to use the sim you already have in your new phone. If it will not let you just order the phone then select the cheapest plan and when the new sim arrives do not activate it then it will be cancelled so you will not be charged for it.
