Data roaming, wrong charges.

So I'm on holiday in Corey, and I set up data roaming set up my data passport but I've been instantly charged £18 for being in Albania and using my data there, which isn't on the list of passport plus countries. How do I get this refunded to me so I can continue to use my data?

I'm afraid it's a common issue that customers travelling to Corfu, Greece etc pick up networks from neighbouring Albania which is rest of the world charges. By all means contact Sky once you've returned to the UK but unfortunately they are under no obligation to refund the additional costs.

Indeed, they are not 'wrong charges' as such.

I would always recommend manually selecting networks instead of using any 'auto' setting.

You may need to increase your spend cap for the £2 passport charges going forwards.

As @Daniel0210 mentions you can ask Sky but the charges have been incurred so only a gesture of goodwill may apply.

Some locations in Corfu may well receive a stronger signal from an Albanian cellular network than a Greek one, given at their closest point the island (Greece) and the mainland (Albania) are two miles apart.
