Hi, I have just moved to Sky Ireland Mobile last week and notice that data automatically switches off while on a voice call. This is catastrophic for me while using my Google maps etc and making work calls simultaneously. There is no option for VoLTE or Vo5G to turn on like in every other network. What is the alternative method to have this working. It's a basic necessity for the average user.

Tha ks but this is slightly different as it's on the Irish sky mobile network that has only started operating this month. So it's the same issue but on a different countries same named network... But as it's one company it's the same problem. So annoying and thanks for your reply

Thanks @63johnw ... It's a shame something as basic as this isn't standard with Sky Mobile or if it is then it's not working for all. I appreciate your response and thanks for sharing the other link

Hey, I've had the same issue since I've switched over. Tried replacement Sims, all the troubleshooting steps.. nothing worked.
I am calling again later today to see if they have a timeline, if not I will have to switch back to Vodafone before cooling off period ends.
Have they given you a timeline by any chance??
This kind of thing really should have been ironed out before they launched!

@FWX hi. I spoke with Sky today and they promised id have the VoLTE or Vo5G sorted for me by Monday. They are looking into it and said an update to their network settings should fix it. But it didn't - so they said Monday if it's not fixed to call them back but it should be. It's a right pain and a standard thing to have on any networks settings.

@Whateverirl cheers for the update!! Fingers crossed it will be sorted Monday! Yeah it's something that really should have been sorted pre launch!!

Still no fix yet and ice been on with their social media support all weekend... Not sure what they are going to try next @FWX

@Whateverirl cheers for the update! yeah unfortunately they don't seem to have any real answer.. just get fobbed off about it and told they are working on it. If I just had a timeframe of when it will be fixed I'd be happy... Surely they have to fix it soon..

Yep. I hope they come back to me again tomorrow... It's just annoying as it's a standard network requirement for anyone to be fair.

I'm going to call for an update tomorrow aswell and if they don't have a timeline either I want an extension on cooling off period or I might have to port back to Vodafone before mine ends.

Great idea.. will you keep me updated and I'll let you know what support say tomorrow.... I've asked them to delegate a technical support case and not just a customer care help query.

@FWX sky support have asked if I have wifi calling option available and I check my settings and I do not. So they are now looking into that option as it's linked to Vo5G or VoLTE and it should be showing aswell... They said they will get back to me

@Whateverirl thanks for letting me know, I'm going to ring later on and will see if we get the same answers, thanks for keeping me posted!!
