Corfu and activated roaming passport however charged as though in Albania

My Daughter has recently been in Corfu and whilst at the beach activated the roaming passport this has resulted in £43 charges as though she was in Albania when she wasn't there. Will Sky refund the charges ?

This happens when you are close to a border which is why you need to make sure the device only connects to a network from the country you are in.

As for a refund as customers we couldn't possibly say but there is no harm in asking Sky to see what they say.

This can occur if being near another country and the phone is set to 'automatic' network selection.

If the phone connected to an Albanian carrier then she is liable for the charges even if not intended.

Although, she can only phone and see if they are prepared to apply goodwill.

@Sunshine1106

Very unlikely. It's a common occurrence that visitors to Corfu and/or parts of Greece pick up Albanian networks I'm afraid.
