In September 2021 I signed a contract for a sim card and a new phone. Later this week I received an email that my sim contract is coming to an end (mid September), but I still have to pay the phone for another 2 years.

I wanted to know if I could switch company for my sim card while I am still paying Sky for my phone? When I subscribe to Sky they had free roaming in EU and they don't anymore, so I don't see the point of staying with them for my sim contract.

As long as you keep paying for your phone you are free to transfer your mobile number to a different network once the 12 months are up.
